When it comes to travelling internationally, I love the south of France. It is beautiful.

Actually, depends. It's a mix of both. Working for long spells is very demanding. And if I have just finished doing a film and want a real break, then I prefer a relaxed and stress free experience. So, that is the time I like to get pampered. Spas, resorts, the works. But if I am feeling really adventurous and am not too tired, I love adventure and exploring.

A lot of women are taking to traveling alone or in groups of girls. As an actor, you must be travelling on your own quite often. But apart from work, have you tried traveling solo?

Ya. The first time I travelled alone was when I finished 10th grade. I went to Denmark for 3 months. My parents lived there for 6 years and I was born there, so we have a lot of friends and family. During the 3 months, one of the families I was staying with took me on a road trip to see the rest of Europe. We drove for 15 days and covered Amsterdam, Germany, Switzerland and South of France. It was an amazing road trip.
Woah! Euro trip at just the right time in life. Lucky you! So, take a pick. What are you - beach person or a hill person.

I am definitely a beach person. I love the sun, the sea and the sand.

Six Harkat-ul-Jehadi-e-Islami (HuJI) terrorists, accused of plotting to kidnap cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Saurav Ganguly, had also attempted to assassinate A P J Abdul Kalam during his visit to Patna in 2001, the prosecution told a Delhi court on Monday.

"They (terrorists) also tried to assassinate A P J Abdul Kalam (the then scientific adviser to the defence ministry), when he visited Patna, but their plan could not succeed due to lack of logistic support there," public prosecutor Anita Hooda submitted before Additional Sessions Judge Pinki. The chilling disclosure was made by Tariq Mohammed, a Pakistan-based HuJI militant, during his custodial interrogation, the prosecutor said while continuing with final arguments on the third day. The arrested HuJI men were working at the instructions of their Pakistan-based masters, Asif Raza Khan, Umar Sheikh and Azam Cheema, she said. "The leaders wanted them to abduct Sachin Tendulkar for ransom to raise funds for their terrorist activities. They also wanted to kidnap Saurav for the purpose of securing the release of their two men lodged in jails," the prosecutor, while referring to the chargesheet, submitted. Besides attempting to kill Kalam, the accused also had a plan to "carry out explosions" at Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, the prosecutor said. The terrorist acts were planned to secure the release of HUJI militants Asrullah Lagrial and Abdul Rahim, lodged in Jodhpur and Tihar jail, respectively, the prosecutor said. Narrating the sequence of events, the prosecutor said the police on January 31, 2002 arrested the mastermind Jalaluddin, a Bangladesh national, from Nizamuddin Railway station. Jalaluddin, who later escaped and was declared a proclaimed offender, had led to the arrest of co-accused, besides divulging the conspiracy to execute a series of terror attacks, she said. The advancing of final arguments remained inconclusive and would continue on February 19. Earlier, the prosecutor had claimed that the terrorist outfit was formed by Pakistan national Maulana Masood Azhar, a terrorist who was freed by India in exchange of passengers of hijacked Indian Airlines aircraft IC-814. All the accused, who were arrested in January, February and March in 2002, have been booked under various provisions of the POTA, the IPC and the Explosives Act, carrying a maximum sentence of the death penalty. They are charged with hatching conspiracy to wage a war against the state and keeping explosives. Besides three Pakistan-based accused, Tariq Mohammed, Ashfaq Ahmed and Ashad Khan, the others are — Mufti Israr, Ghulam Qadir Bhatt and Ghulam Mohd Dar. Ansari and Sabauddin were arrested last year in connection with the 2007 New Year eve attack on a CRPF camp in Rampur in Uttar Pradesh. The lone terrorist, Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, arrested in the November 26 terror strikes is also presently in police custody till February 13. Roger Federer of Switzerland returns the ball against Rafael Nadal of Spain during the men's singles final at Australian Open tennis tournament in Melbourne, Feb. 1, 2009.
World number one Rafael Nadal won his first Australian Open title after outplaying world number two Roger Federer in the men's final on Sunday.

Nadal, the French Open, Wimbledon and Olympic champion, finally made breakthrough at the hardcourt Grand Slam at the Melbourne Park, tamed three-time winner Federer 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (3), 3-6 and 6-2.

Federer, failing again to equal Pete Sampras' record of 14 Grand Slams, might feel he has a much better chance this time after the huge physical effort Nadal made in the epic semifinal win over compatriot Fernando Verdasco, but it just did not work in his way.

Nadal and Federer both looked nervy at the start of the first set, exchanging break twice to tie the game at 4-4. Nadal finally took the advantage of some sloppy play of the Swiss superstar to take a decisive break in the eleventh game and held serve firmly in the next before drawing the first blood at 7-5.

Both players hit top gear in the second set, exchanging break again in the fourth and fifth games. Federer, clearly looking more dangerous, pushed the Spaniard to the limits and finally converted on the fifth break point opportunity of the eighth game to extend to a comfortable 5-3 lead.

After claiming the second set at 6-3, the Swiss was gaining momentum on his side, threatening to take another break in the eleventh game of the third set, only for an undaunted Nadal to hold serve after beating three break points.

After Federer holding serve in the next game, the set was dragged into the tie-break, where Nadal won at 7-3.

The momentum was then switched to the side of Federer, who won the fourth set at 6-3. However, Federer never looked comfortable in the final set, dropping serve twice to lose at 6-2.
